Administrator Account
This documentation aims to provide the user with all the necessary information to manage their Administrator Account.
What is an Administrator Account?
Your GEO4X account becomes an administrator account as soon as you have an active subscription.
When your account gains administrator status, we create your organization for you. This organization brings together all your future projects and client records. It also allows you to add other administrators with the same rights as you but also enable your clients to recognize your project space through the customization of GEO4X with your branding
You may also have access to several different organizations if projects hosted on GEO4X have been shared with you. Switching between organizations is easy via the menu in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
Having an administrator account (and therefore a subscription) gives you access to additional features detailed below.
User Management
You can create contact records for each of your clients, visible only to administrators within your organization. Once created, these users will be useful when sharing your projects and will help you organize them more efficiently.
Company Management
Similar to adding users, you can also add companies. They can be linked to a user and/or a project, and will also help you sort and organize your projects by company.
Project Management
With an administrator account, you can create a project. A project is a workspace where you can upload all types of files, including your geospatial data.
To start and get familiar with the platform, we recommend following this structure: 1 project = 1 acquisition site. However, it is entirely possible to include several acquisition sites within the same project if needed.
A project contains one or more “acquisition groups” or “groups,” which allow you to organize your data by date when acquisitions of the same location are made multiple times throughout the year.
Once your project is created and your first files uploaded, the project can be shared (see Roles and Permissions Management).
